Trading With Range Bars

RIMM provides fantastic trading opportunities using a .25 rangebar. Above is an eSignal chart of Research In Motion using a .25 rangebar. The sell short entries on Wednesday were: 60.63 @ 9:31am; 60.49 @ 9:50am; 60.01 @ 11:55am and Thursday were: 59.35 @ 9:31am; 58.35 @ 10:15am. The next support level 56.60 so I will be looking for more pullback entries in this downtrend for intraday trading.

  1. Hey Dom, thanks for the words of wisdom. The range bars your talking about are 0.25 each bar in money not time right ?
    Thanks,

  2. Rangebars ignore time and only print when there is price action. A new candle will not print until RIMM moves .26 and then that will begin a new candle. That is why every rangebar closes on the top or bottom of every bar. Eliminates a lot of noise.
